Large drug trafficking cases detected in early June

VGP – Border force in the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum on June 2 joined hands with police force in Attapeu Province, Laos to arrest three Lao people transporting 60,000 meth pills. 

Two men and a woman, Lao nationality, were seized while trafficking 300 packages consisting of 60,000 meth pills from Laos to Viet Nam. 

The border force in Kon Tum handed over objects and exhibits to Lao police for further investigations. 

*On the morning of June 2, police force in the northern province of Son La announced to successfully detect two large drug trafficking cases, seizing two bricks of heroin and 8,000 synthetic drug pills.

*The same day, police force in Cau Giay District, Ha Noi reported that a man was found hiding 4kg of synthetic drug in his apartment in Mai Dich, Cau Giay District. 

The man, named Ha Viet Cuong said that he purchased the drug in Mai Chau District, Hoa Binh Province and transported to Ha Noi for consumption.

*The border force in Ten Tan border gate arrested a Lao man trafficking 800 Amphetamine pills on Viet Nam-Laos border lines. 

The man said that he was hired to transport the drug from Laos to Viet Nam for consumption.
